In 1979, Tomohiro Nishikado designed a new type of arcade game. A true blockbuster, people stole money, skipped jobs and ruined their marriages to play a game called "Space Invader".

2061 AD: Just as "Space Invader" revolutionized arcade gaming, a new form of entertainment has emerged, far ahead of other games of the past. Many older machines are placed in space orbit far from Earth. An "invasion" vehicle, ejected by the thrust of a passing cruiser, left orbit and began rolling through the intersections of black space.

2073 AD: This machine has never been seen again as it was collected by an alien colony whose intelligence is much better than that of humans.

2091 AD: So far ... for some reason the car has changed dramatically. All the intruders, once just a cluster of pixels, have transformed into their former real, solid and deadly incarnation.

All aimed at destroying Earth's colonies across the galaxy.
